Overview
Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business headquartered in Dallas, providing reliable electricity delivery to nearly 4 million consumers. As an Apprentice, you will perform construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines and structures under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines and structures.
- Carry out tasks under the direction of others and with approval from the supervising authority.
- Utilize approved protective equipment and tools when working with energized conductors and equipment.
- Be available for on-call scheduled rotation and overtime work.
- Travel outside assigned district when needed.
- Work off wood poles, insulated platforms, and bucket trucks using approved safety practices.
- Lift 75 pounds above head regularly.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and participate in local safety programs.
- Commit to Oncor's Core Values and abide by Oncor's Safety Handbook.
Requirements
- Class A CDL driver's license is required.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 4 plus years of related distribution utility construction work experience is encouraged to apply.
- Certificate or degree from an accredited lineman school is encouraged to apply.
- Associate's degree in electrical technology or related field is encouraged to apply.
- Proof of successful lineman and safety training programs is required.
- Demonstrate skills needed to advance in the Oncor Lineman Training Program.

Additional Information
- This is an on-site position based out of the Dallas Northeast Service Center.
- Successful candidate must live within 60 minutes of the service center, with 30 minutes or less preferred.
