Overview

The Site Project Manager - Erection is a traveling role focused on overseeing major structural steel projects across the United States. The position requires experienced field professionals to ensure the successful delivery of steel packages while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and managing field issues.

Responsibilities

  • Travel nationwide to assigned projects
  • Attend daily coordination meetings with project stakeholders
  • Act as the company's representative in the field
  • Coordinate closely with erection partners
  • Manage delivery flow and truck sequencing
  • Investigate field fit up concerns and installation challenges
  • Review drawings and identify practical solutions
  • Determine ownership of field issues
  • Coordinate fabrication fixes when required
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and internal teams
  • Identify potential delays before they impact the schedule
  • Build strong working relationships with GCs, erectors, and owners
  • Keep projects moving without unnecessary drama

Requirements

  • Structural steel field experience
  • Strong understanding of steel erection
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Comfortable travelling nationally
  • Strong communication skills
  • Practical problem solving ability
  • Confidence dealing with erectors, GCs, and project teams
