Overview

Carlson Design Group is seeking a talented Structural Engineer III to join our growing engineering team, supporting clients across the Data Center, Light Industrial, and Commercial sectors as part of our continued business expansion.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead structural engineer responsible for scoping the project and coordinating with other disciplines.
• Obtain necessary information to execute the work and prepare conceptual designs.
• Correct field issues and complete designs.
• Provide technical design support to the design team and oversee the development of less-experienced engineers.
• Prepare and review Contract Documents in compliance with the project program, building design, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• BSCE in Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years related work experience.
• Licensed Engineer (at least one state) and NCEES Accredited (preferred).
• Strong computer skills in structural analysis programs, e.g., RAM software suite, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Revit, and competency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Valid driver's license required.

Additional Information

• Location: Atlanta, GA, including some travel.
• Work from the office Monday through Wednesday, and remote on Thursday and Friday.
