Overview

The Carpenter 2 at JE Dunn will perform complex carpentry tasks in concrete carpentry and finish carpentry on various construction projects. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company values while utilizing a variety of tools and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex carpentry tasks in concrete and finish carpentry.
• Utilize a variety of tools and specialized equipment.
• Set forms for concrete including foundations and bulkheads.
• Place concrete using various methods and perform basic finishing.
• Clean and maintain concrete and forming tools.
• Install in-wall and roof blocking and general carpentry.
• Erect temporary partitions and assist in door installations.
• Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and OSHA standards.
• Show up ready to work when scheduled and communicate absences.
• Maintain a can-do attitude and work safely.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training preferred.
• 2+ years experience in specific trade required.
• 2+ years commercial construction experience preferred.
• Ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of carpentry hand tools and concrete tools.
• Basic understanding of layout and construction math.
• Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

• Comfortable working at heights and in narrow spaces.
