Overview
Taurus Staffing is hiring a Structural Steel Fabrication Specialist in Chattanooga, TN. This hands-on role focuses on turning drawings into precise steel assemblies, particularly in stair and handrail builds, emphasizing fit-up quality and welding accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Review technical drawings and specifications to set daily priorities.
- Lay out structural members and execute accurate fit-ups.
- Perform production welding on various components.
- Verify measurements and check tolerances throughout the shift.
- Assist with modifications and collaborate with teammates to maintain schedules.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in fabrication, welding, or a closely related field.
- Proven background in structural steel layout and fit-up.
- Hands-on stair and handrail fabrication experience.
- Experience operating a Plasma Table or CNC press brake is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
