Overview

The Field Welder position in Cincinnati, OH involves Tig welding in a fabrication shop, assisting with project layouts, and ensuring safety standards are met. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of Tig welding experience and possess the necessary skills and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Tig welding in the fabrication shop.
• Assists with the layout of work projects.
• Follows all OSHA and TP Mechanical Contractors standards for safety.
• Keeps equipment in good working order and ensures proper maintenance is performed.
• Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years Tig welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use weld pipe positioner.
• Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pass a pipe test (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW).
• High School or GED equivalent.
• Trade School is a plus.
• Valid Drivers License.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Additional Information

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
• Able to perform shift work if needed.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
