Overview
The Certified Welder position at Hubbell involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting robotic systems in the welding process to ensure quality and productivity. The role requires a certified welder who can read and interpret technical drawings and perform quality tests.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate machines and equipment to produce quality products.
- Program and troubleshoot robotic systems for material handling, drilling, and welding.
- Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required.
- Visually inspect products and record production data.
- Report and record scrap and perform various rework duties.
- Make routine equipment adjustments for efficiency and quality.
- Manually repair or hand weld products that do not meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must hold a Certified Welder's certification or equivalent.
- Pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
- Proficient in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Experience performing SPC procedures and tests.
- Ability to navigate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
- Highly motivated and problem-solving skills.
