Overview

The Certified Welder position at Hubbell involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting robotic systems in the welding process to ensure quality and productivity. The role requires a certified welder who can read and interpret technical drawings and perform quality tests.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate machines and equipment to produce quality products.
  • Program and troubleshoot robotic systems for material handling, drilling, and welding.
  • Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required.
  • Visually inspect products and record production data.
  • Report and record scrap and perform various rework duties.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments for efficiency and quality.
  • Manually repair or hand weld products that do not meet standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Certified Welder's certification or equivalent.
  • Pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
  • Proficient in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Experience performing SPC procedures and tests.
  • Ability to navigate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
  • Highly motivated and problem-solving skills.
