Overview
At Blue Origin, we are developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems with a focus on safety, collaboration, and inclusion. The Aerospace Welding role involves supporting the welding of the New Glenn rocket as part of a team dedicated to safe human spaceflight.
Responsibilities
- Operate robotic weld systems.
- Perform manual blend operations across multiple positions.
- Conduct precision drilling for internal tank installations.
- Setup new production work areas, including layouts and tooling.
- Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections.
- Troubleshoot and correct discrepancies through modification or repair.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Operate various material handling equipment as required.
- Setup and operate precision calibrated tools.
- Perform routine maintenance functions to support safety.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in manufacturing, integration, or a relevant field.
- Ability to interpret engineering models and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work any shift and extended hours as necessary.
- Self-sufficient and driven.
- Metallurgical knowledge.
- Expert level in fabricating and using hand tools.
