Overview

CloudRay, a staffing partner with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a MIG Structural Welder for a client in Cullman, AL. This position involves setting up and operating machines for the production of hollow metal doors and requires advanced welding and fitting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Structural MIG welding on structural steel and metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Fit, align, and assemble metal parts prior to welding
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and required specifications
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and levels for accurate fitting
• Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing as needed
• Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure proper penetration and strength
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements

• 1+ years of MIG welding and fitting experience
• Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol knowledge
• Ability to fit and fabricate without supervision
• Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication
• Ability to pass a weld test (if required)
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to perform consistent, quality welds in a production environment
• Basic blueprint reading preferred
• Willingness to learn fitting and fabrication skills
• Must pass a measurement test

• Shift: MONDAY – THURSDAY 6:30 AM TO 4:30 PM
• FRIDAYS 6:30 AM TO 3:00 PM
• SATURDAY 6:30 AM TO 3:00 (IF SCHEDULED TO WORK)
• Overtime: Friday & Saturday
