Overview
Seeking a skilled Arc Welder (SMAW) to perform high-quality welds and operate semi-automatic and automated machinery used for double-joint pipe production. Candidates must be familiar with industry welding standards and able to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) on pipe and structural components
- Operate semi-automatic and automated welding machinery
- Execute double-joint pipe welding with precision
- Follow welding procedures in accordance with AWS D1 and ASME codes
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe operation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Arc Welder (SMAW)
- Ability to operate semi-automatic and automated welding equipment
- Experience with double-joint pipe welding
- Knowledge of AWS D1 and ASME standards
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts Monday–Saturday
- PPE required
