Lamb Weston is a leading manufacturer in the food industry, known for its fries and dedicated to bringing people together with foods they love. The Prep Maintenance III position involves the repair and maintenance of all equipment plant-wide under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Performing regular assigned checks.
- Keeping logs up to date.
- Equipment repair and overhaul.
- Practicing and abiding by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules.
- May be required to work any shift, any and all days of the week, or overtime.
- Short term assignment to a night shift may be required for special training.
Requirements
- Set-up and weld mild steel in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions with ARC welder.
- Properly use all basic hand tools, power hand tools, and shop tools.
- Set-up, weld, and cut with oxy-acetylene.
- Do basic plumbing runs and repairs.
- Be knowledgeable of basic mechanical nomenclature.
- Do basic sheet metal layout and fabrication.
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of potential hazards and safety procedures.
- Proper use of Lockouts and safety procedures.
- Completion of a forklift training program.

Additional Information
- Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy items.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds six feet above the ground.
- Will work in all areas of the plant, both inside and outside during any and all-weather conditions.
- Regularly work near moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment.
- May work on wet, icy, greasy floors.
- Occasionally exposed to humid conditions and extreme temperatures.
- May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
- Regularly work in a high noise level environment.
