Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated and experienced production welder to join their team. The position involves full MIG weld processes on various structural steel components in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in full MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel.
• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel, and gas flow.
• Read tape measures and blueprints to shop standards.
• Decide on adjustments or gun manipulation as needed.
• Make repairs for pin holes and burn through caused by auto welder.
• Train and teach proper welding procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain specified shape, size, and penetration of welds.
• Keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correct.
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of welding techniques.
• High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.

• Day Shift (6:00am - 4:30pm or 5:00am - 5:30pm)
