Overview
A Rochester company is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their team. The position involves fabricating and welding steel components using various welding processes and equipment.
Responsibilities
- MIG weld steel components in flat and vertical positions.
- Fit, clamp, tack-weld, grind, heat-bend, and assemble parts.
- Monitor welding processes to prevent warping, distortion, or overheating.
- Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
- Measure, align, and position parts using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
- Ability to pass a weld test.
- Blueprint reading experience required.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical requirements include frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry 15–50+ pounds.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and exposure to moving equipment.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check.
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

- Temp-to-Hire position.
