Overview

A Rochester company is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their team. The position involves fabricating and welding steel components using various welding processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • MIG weld steel components in flat and vertical positions.
  • Fit, clamp, tack-weld, grind, heat-bend, and assemble parts.
  • Monitor welding processes to prevent warping, distortion, or overheating.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
  • Measure, align, and position parts using hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
  • Ability to pass a weld test.
  • Blueprint reading experience required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical requirements include frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15–50+ pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and exposure to moving equipment.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

Additional Information

  • Temp-to-Hire position.
  • Full Time work available.
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm).
  • Location: Plymouth, IN.
