Overview

Elwood Staffing has an immediate opening for an experienced spot welder at a leading manufacturer of American-made medical carts and cabinets. This is a temp-to-hire position with full-time work available.

Responsibilities

• Operate spot welding machines to join sheet metal components according to specifications and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production orders.
• Load, position, and secure parts in fixtures prior to welding.
• Inspect welded assemblies to ensure quality standards and dimensional requirements are met.
• Perform visual inspections and verify weld strength and appearance.
• Use hand tools, measuring devices, and basic fabrication equipment as needed.
• Maintain production rates while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous spot welding or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
