Overview

This is a per diem welding position located in Hollywood, South Carolina, offering a pay rate of $26/hr plus a $150 per diem. The role involves welding and fabricating metal materials for NAVSEA-related equipment and is a contract to hire position based out of Augusta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
• Weld and fit various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in structural fitting and welding.
• 3-5+ years of experience in both flux core welding and pulse welding.
• 3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures.
• Proficiency in using tape measures, fitting, Flux core, pulse, MIG pulse, and squares.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.

• This is a fully onsite position in Augusta, GA.
• The contract duration is 1-2 years to direct.
• Shifts include the 1st and 2nd, with 15+ hours of overtime per week.
• All testing is located in Hollywood, SC.
• This position is anticipated to close on Jul 13, 2026.
