Overview

Join the JLG team in McConnellsburg, PA as a Welder, where you can earn a $1500 sign-on bonus and enjoy competitive pay rates. This position is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates, with no high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required.
• Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
• Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations.
• Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch or welding equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
• Assemble and weld various metal parts together.
• Properly position material/parts to be welded.
• Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions including the ability to read blueprints.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work in both team and individual settings.
• Regular attendance required.

Requirements

• 6 plus months of welding experience either through education or work.
• Welding Certification through an educational institution is preferred.
• 1 plus year(s) of welding experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Additional Information

• Pay ranges from $21.00 to $24.65 per hour plus a $1.75 shift differential.
• 2nd and 3rd shifts are available.
• Overtime as required, typically on Fridays and Saturdays.
