Overview

The Welder position involves fabricating and repairing compactors, containers, and carts under general supervision. WM, North America's leading provider of environmental solutions, emphasizes safety and integrity in its operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
• Repairs compactors, containers and carts.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and repairs of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
• Qualified in various welding processes including arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering.
• Conducts safety checks on compactors and containers.
• Completes required paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
• Assists senior welders with project work.
• Performs service calls for compactor repair.
• Engages in flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts.
• Works from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous experience in welding.
