Overview

Anchor Manufacturing Group is an industry leader with over 50 years of experience in producing safety-related metal assemblies. The Tig Welder will interpret blueprints and specifications to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welding equipment to join metal components using TIG and MIG welding processes.
  • Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, or distortion of materials.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
  • Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure them to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment efficiently.
  • Examine welds for bead size and quality, and clean off excess weld spatter.
  • Manufacture and inspect parts to customer specifications.
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspections per print.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
  • Process required paperwork according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas as deemed necessary by management.
  • Understand the PLEX system for production control.
  • Comply with all Anchor Principles and Guidelines.
