Overview
Anchor Manufacturing Group is an industry leader with over 50 years of experience in producing safety-related metal assemblies. The Tig Welder will interpret blueprints and specifications to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using various welding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components using TIG and MIG welding processes.
- Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, or distortion of materials.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
- Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure them to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment efficiently.
- Examine welds for bead size and quality, and clean off excess weld spatter.
- Manufacture and inspect parts to customer specifications.
- Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspections per print.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
- Process required paperwork according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in other manufacturing areas as deemed necessary by management.
- Understand the PLEX system for production control.
- Comply with all Anchor Principles and Guidelines.
