Overview

The 2nd Shift Welder position involves making sparks and shaping the future through various welding tasks. The role includes equipment setup, material preparation, welding execution, quality control, and maintenance, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust wire feed speeds, voltage, amperage, and gas flow rates for optimal welds.
  • Cut, grind, and clean metal workpieces before assembly.
  • Operate GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) guns to fuse materials in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Inspect welds for defects, porosity, or cracking to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and perform routine upkeep on welding torches, clamps, and machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training completion.
  • Proven experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to pass a formal pre-employment welding test and drug screening.
  • Capability to lift 50–75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
