Overview

Brunswick is a global marine leader focused on innovation and next-generation technologies in marine recreation. The Metal Fabricator I role involves setting up and operating machinery for metal fabrication, ensuring adherence to safety and production specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
  • Measuring and marking out placement for components
  • Setting up metalwork machinery including cold saw, drill presses, band saw, notcher, belt sander, tape measure and/or calipers
  • Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work
  • Fabricating and constructing metal components
  • Grinding and finishing completed products
  • Performing quality checks on completed products
  • Conforming with state and company safety regulations
  • Completing daily logs
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • At least one year of experience as a Metal Fabricator or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to follow all training procedures in place
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (adding, subtracting, fractions, and decimals)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
  • Proficiency with metal fabrication tools, including cold saw, tape measure, band saw, general power tools and drill presses
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Good physical condition
