Brunswick is a global marine leader focused on innovation and next-generation technologies in marine recreation. The Metal Fabricator I role involves setting up and operating machinery for metal fabrication, ensuring adherence to safety and production specifications.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
- Measuring and marking out placement for components
- Setting up metalwork machinery including cold saw, drill presses, band saw, notcher, belt sander, tape measure and/or calipers
- Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work
- Fabricating and constructing metal components
- Grinding and finishing completed products
- Performing quality checks on completed products
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations
- Completing daily logs
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- At least one year of experience as a Metal Fabricator or manufacturing experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to follow all training procedures in place
- Ability to perform basic math skills (adding, subtracting, fractions, and decimals)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools, including cold saw, tape measure, band saw, general power tools and drill presses
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good physical condition
