Overview

TMD Staffing is hiring experienced TIG Welders/Fabricators for a position in the Austin/Cedar Park area. The role requires skilled candidates with 2+ years of welding experience to produce quality fabricated components while adhering to safety and production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and finishing operations.
  • Fabricate and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
  • Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.
  • Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding operations as needed.
  • Install hardware including PEM fasteners, rivet nuts, inserts, and studs.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and secondary fabrication tasks.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
  • Complete production documentation and work order transactions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform equipment inspections and support preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of welding experience required.
  • TIG (GTAW) welding experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
  • Ability to perform welding, fabrication, grinding, and finishing operations.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Robotic welding, spot welding, stud welding, and overhead crane experience are a plus.

  • Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–3:00 PM (includes overtime)
