Overview

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Pipefitter Journey to perform installation, maintenance, and repair work on various piping systems and equipment. The role involves working with high-pressure steam pipes, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment, while leading and assigning tasks to helpers.

Responsibilities

• Uses basic knowledge of regulations and requirements to determine methods and materials needed.
• Prepares and works from sketches, plans, specifications, and roughing-in sheets.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related equipment.
• Installs and repairs piping systems using various joint methods.
• Performs lockout and tag procedures to secure and deactivate equipment.
• Inspects work site for obstructions and structural integrity.
• Bends, cuts, and threads pipe using appropriate tools.
• Dismantles equipment to access and remove defective parts.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks involving manual movement of materials and tools.
• Completes paperwork documenting repair and maintenance activities.
• Works in association with other crafts as needed.
• Secures pipes to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Follows safety policies and procedures in operating facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 48 months of experience in layout, installation, and maintenance tasks.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
