Overview

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the conformance of materials and installation to specifications at a project site in La Barge, WY. The role involves performing inspections, generating reports, and maintaining quality control throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during daily construction activities.
  • Have a working knowledge of the code(s) of construction being used for the project.
  • Demonstrate good organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC data are properly recorded.
  • Monitor and record all work as required by the Quality Inspection Test Plan (QITP).
  • Prevent deficiencies through pre-construction quality control inspections.
  • Detect and address deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Inspect the work and establish punch lists.
  • Ensure daily quality task schedules are met to align with the project schedule.
  • Work closely with the Client and field quality staff as their field representative.
  • Interface with field supervision to maintain open communication.
  • Interact cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team members.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections.
  • Determine the calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 3-5 years’ experience in the Construction Trades.
  • Inspection related certifications, CWI or CPWI accepted.
  • Must be a self-starter, organized, and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use inspection tools such as Gal-Gauge, Pick Gauge, and Hi-Lo gauge.
  • Must be able to read and interpret ISO, P&ID’s and Red-Line ISO.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures.
  • Required exposure to civil, electrical, mechanical, pipeline/oil/gas, industrial, and welding activities.
  • Ability to independently perform work such as Piping system walkdown and Civil inspections.
  • Write daily reports and document project activities.
  • Effectively collect and record field data to ensure activities conform to corporate Quality Control procedures.
  • Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting.
