Overview

Conveyor Concepts of Michigan (CCMich) is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator for their 1st shift, focusing on custom material-handling systems and structural steel components. This role emphasizes quality and teamwork in a hands-on shop environment, rather than repetitive production welding.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications
• Fit, position, align, and weld structural steel and fabricated components
• Measure and verify parts using tape measures, squares, and layout tools
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment including flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses
• Lay out material and workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications
• Tack-weld and complete weldments per drawings
• Use cranes, hoists, and fixtures to safely move and position materials
• De-burr, prep, and tag parts for the next process
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow company safety policies and attendance expectations
• Perform other fabrication-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Read a tape measure proficiently and solve fractions
• Comfortable fitting and welding parts
• Experience working with structural steel and fabricated components
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (heavier loads moved with crane or hi-lo)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license required

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Friday (as needed): 5:00 AM – 11:30 AM
