Overview
We are seeking a skilled welder and fabricator for an hourly role at our plant. The ideal candidate will excel both independently and within a team environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and sound judgment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the fabrication and welding of industrial equipment, fixtures, and other custom components.
- Interpret layouts, blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Versatile in all aspects of welding, including MIG, TIG, stick, plasma, brazing, and soldering.
- Cutting and assembling materials.
- Perform torch cutting.
- Use and maintain welding equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including proper PPE.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks with high quality and precision.
- Work proactively to drive process improvements and achieve results.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven welding capabilities and a solid operational and technical background.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Action and goal-oriented mindset.
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
- Professional certifications from an accredited school.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years as a welder/fabricator.
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- 5+ years Aluminum welding experience.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment, machinery and procedures.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving and time management skills.
- Effectively communicate.
Additional Information
- The typical work area is within the factory and welding area.
- There are times where outside work may be required.
- Wearing of safety shoes, goggles, hoods with protective lenses, and other devices designed to prevent burns and eye injuries is required.
