Overview

Peak Rentals is seeking a full-time Welder to join their team. The Welder will be responsible for welding metal components together using various welding equipment to fabricate or repair products, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform general welding tasks with no supervision.
• Inspect, measure, or test complete metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.
• Set up, operate, or tend to welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
• Lay out, fit, or connect parts, calculating production measurements.
• Assist other fabricators as needed and complete special projects for the Shop Manager upon request.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to tasks being performed.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas.

Requirements

• Ability to complete fabrication tasks.
• Previous experience in the oil/gas industry is preferred.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read English.
• Good knowledge and proficiency of TIG welding.
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency of MIG welding.
• General knowledge of Flux Core, Aluminum Wire, and Stick Welding.
• General knowledge and proficiency of fabrication.
