Overview

The MIG/TIG Welder Level II is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel. This position requires the ability to perform various welding tasks and ensure quality specifications are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
  • Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
  • Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass weld test.
  • At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • At least 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
  • Forklift certification.

Additional Information

  • 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
  • Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
