Overview

Prysmian is a global leader in energy and digital connection solutions, focusing on innovative cable systems for power transmission and telecommunications. The company is expanding its North American operations and seeks a Welder/Fabricator to contribute to its manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts for sub units or complete units using jigs, hand tools, and welding torches.
• Identify information by recognizing similarities or differences and categorizing events or circumstances.
• Locate and mark work piece cutting and bending lines for welding and machine specifications.
• Provide detailed instructions and specifications for component construction, modification, and assembly.
• Study blueprints and engineering drawings to determine project task sequences and requirements.
• Perform all work in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D certificate.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Prefer industrial or manufacturing experience with machine and industrial components.
• Knowledge of properties and characteristics of metals for cutting, welding, and forming.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures and work beneath machines.
• Exposed to high voltage electricity and excessive heat.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects and/or machine parts.

Additional Information

• Starting Pay: $25/hr
• Shift: Monday through Friday - 7:00am to 5:00pm
• Duties performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures.
