Overview
Technique, Inc. is seeking a Welder for their Concord, North Carolina facility. The role involves using MIG/TIG welding equipment for stainless and carbon steel while supporting quality assurance through part layouts and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Set up and use MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints
- Assemble exhaust assemblies, racks, and prototyping fixtures
- Perform 1st piece table layouts and troubleshoot builds using CMM reports
- Maintain accurate job documentation for all production runs
- Load and run robot welder in auto and make needed repairs on assemblies after robot
- Investigate and correct issues found during a build and/or inspection of an assembly
- Ensure that products shipped meet internal and customer requirements per CMM reports, blueprints, and AWS specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred
- AWS Certification required
- 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T notation
- Basic understanding of CAD/SolidWorks software
- Ability to use hand and layout/inspection tools
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic problem solving skills
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, vibration, and loud noise

Additional Information
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
- Shifts include Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Friday, 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
