Overview

Southeast Connections, LLC provides inclusive infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry, focusing on constructing systems and facilities to transport clean energy. The Welder is responsible for performing welding tasks essential to the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations for the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines.
• Operate torches, power supplies, and welding equipment to fuse metal components securely.
• Strike arcs by touching electrodes to metal surfaces, completing electrical circuits.
• Assist in pipeline construction, repair, and integrity maintenance.
• Work in various environments, including job sites and fabrication shops.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Requirements

• API 1104 Certified.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient knowledge of gas installation techniques and industry standards.
• Exhibits ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices.
• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations while remaining calm in a crisis.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• OQ (Operator Qualification) certification in pipeline welding.
• Three (3) years of welding experience is preferred.

Additional Information

• Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
• Able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to climb a minimum of 5 rungs of an extension ladder.
• Ability to travel to project sites that are typically within a 4-hour radius of the home office.
• Able to work in outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards.
