Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. (PHIL) is a global leader in customized off-highway truck haulage enhancements, offering a full-time opportunity for a Welder/Fitter on the first shift. The role involves welding customized products with a focus on quality and safety in a team-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Perform MIG and dual shield welding.
• Weld from various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Visually inspect the quality of work.
• Grind out inferior quality welds and rework as needed.
• Read and interpret prints, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials.
• Perform material handling operations as needed.
• Operate a hand torch and hand plasma torch.
• Cross-train to assist in other departments as needed.
• Clock jobs using a barcode scanning system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.

Requirements

• Print reading and fitting experience preferred.
• Flat MIG wire welding experience needed.
• Out-of-position dual shield welding experience preferred.
• Openness to travel for onsite production installation and warranty work.
• Ability to drive for travel requirements.

Additional Information

• Non-exempt/hourly position eligible for overtime.
• Starting pay is $23 to $26.
