Overview
Club Car has over 60 years of experience in innovation and design, focusing on golf cars and expanding to utility vehicles. The Welder I position involves welding various components and assemblies using MIG welding procedures, particularly on aluminum materials.
Responsibilities
- Perform hand fabrication and related welding tasks as required.
- Work in various positions requiring frequent stooping, bending, and overhead work.
- Follow work instructions provided by management or team leads.
- Adhere to standard work procedures and complete production, maintenance, and operational documentation.
- Participate in basic problem-solving activities, 5S initiatives, and lean manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment by keeping the work area clear of hazards.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Be available to work overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- Preferred certification in AWS D1.2 (Aluminum) or equivalent welding certification.
- 2+ years of experience in MIG welding, preferably on aluminum materials in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in hand fabrication, fitting, and assembly of metal components prior to welding.
- Mechanical and technical skills.
- Safety management mindset.
- Focus on quality control.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
