Overview
The Vessel Welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
- Inspect complete welds to determine structural soundness.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
- Set up equipment and parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
- Weld metal materials to Vessel equipment using appropriate welding procedures.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
- Align with EFX visions and values.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or 1-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
- Minimum of 1 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
- Experience welding Vessels is required.
- Must be qualified on GMAW and FCAW processes.
- Must pass 6G pipe test.
- Must be able to gauge.
- Limited to welding flat and uphill positions.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works under general supervision.
