Overview

The Pipe Welder position at Enerflex involves executing fabrication projects according to welding procedures with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
  • Read and understand P & ID drawings and other package layout drawings to determine appropriate welding process.
  • Inspect complete welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
  • Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate welding procedures.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
  • Align with EFX visions and values.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or 1-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
  • Minimum of 1 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
  • Experience welding multiple types of pipe including carbon steel, stainless steel, and chrome.
  • Qualified on GTAW, GMAW and FCAW processes on 2” and above pipe in all positions.
  • Must pass 6G pipe test.
  • Ability to read and interpret all engineering drawings.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Works under general supervision.
