Overview
The Pipe Welder position at Enerflex involves executing fabrication projects according to welding procedures with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
- Read and understand P & ID drawings and other package layout drawings to determine appropriate welding process.
- Inspect complete welds to determine structural soundness.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
- Set up equipment and parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
- Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate welding procedures.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
- Align with EFX visions and values.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or 1-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
- Minimum of 1 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
- Experience welding multiple types of pipe including carbon steel, stainless steel, and chrome.
- Qualified on GTAW, GMAW and FCAW processes on 2” and above pipe in all positions.
- Must pass 6G pipe test.
- Ability to read and interpret all engineering drawings.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works under general supervision.
