Overview

Core & Main is a leader in advancing reliable infrastructure with local service nationwide. The Lead Fabricator will manufacture assorted products, ensuring quality control and resolving production issues while coaching lower-level fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Examine specifications of customer orders using drawings, work orders, or blueprints.
• Fabricate work pieces according to work order specifications and retrieve correct materials.
• Examine work pieces visually or using measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Coach and train lower-level fabricators on proper execution of duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
• Metal working experience.
• Ability to lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
• Familiarity with training and coaching techniques.
• Ability to adapt work practices and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Knowledge of HDPE butt fusion and fabrication.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Additional Information

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs in a physical environment.
