Overview
The Global Process Engineer - Welding and Heat Treatment role involves engineering related to manufacturing processes, influencing approaches and projects within the organization. The position requires a high level of operational judgment and has a moderate degree of autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require a four-year degree.
- Develop expertise in the discipline and serve as a resource for best practices and quality.
- Contribute to strategy and policy development and ensure implementation in the area of responsibility.
- Possess knowledge of best practices and integration of the area with others.
- Make decisions and solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or design.
- Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
- Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead small projects with moderate risks.
- Explain difficult or confidential information and work to build consensus.
Requirements
- Extensive experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
- Documented project management skills.
