The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for the upkeep and repair of buildings and mechanical systems, requiring troubleshooting and maintenance skills for large production machines and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pump service and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical work and facility maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical work.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks.
• Operate and maintain powered industrial trucks and cranes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and stock levels for the department.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting on various pumps.
• Assess damages and diagnose problems with equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections of parts.
• Test, inspect, repair, and reassemble basic equipment and systems.
• Maintain communication with Supervisor regarding daily activities.
• Assist with planning and preparing daily schedules.
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Proficient in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Detail-oriented with steady hands and ability to follow instructions.
• Understanding of Company Quality Manual and procedures.
• Time management and task efficiency skills.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a TWIC Card.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Industrial and/or Manufacturing maintenance.
• Valid Driver License with a good driving record.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency; intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills.
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
• Day Shift: 6:00am - 3:30pm.
• Overtime and/or weekend availability required.
• Location: Brady Island, 8502 Cypress St, Houston Tx 77012.
• Must be open to travel to other sites in Channelview and Galveston.
