Overview
The Global Process Engineer (GPE) at Aero Alliance will focus on developing and deploying global standards to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of manufacturing equipment and processes. This role involves data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and cost reduction through standardization, while also introducing new technologies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Define global process standards and equipment standards and deploy them across Aero Alliance factories.
- Control and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets.
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes.
- Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and improve quality processes.
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues.
- Provide technical support for asset management.
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers.
- Participate in the design and installation of new equipment.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role with expertise in Welding & Heat Treatment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Project Management skills and experience.
