Overview

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is a 30+ year industry leader with over 40 locations and 2,500+ employees, specializing in utility, telecom, rail, and construction industries. They are hiring a Field Service Mechanic to diagnose and repair specialized utility equipment, working on various types of trucks and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair specialized utility equipment in the field.
• Work on bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and related equipment.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on rental, customer, and company units.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose and repair LMI Diagnostics and CAN bus systems.
• Inspect and service vehicles, making repairs and adjustments both at the service center and in the field.
• Prepare inspection reports, repair orders, and timecards completely and accurately.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
• Attend safety training and follow all safety requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Five years of related experience as a Shop Tech and Field Tech.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred).
• Must have your own tools.
• Proficient in documentation using software, meeting deadlines and schedules.
• Experience troubleshooting and repair of utility trucks and equipment including electrical and hydraulics.

Additional Information

• Position is on-site in Humble, TX.
