Overview
We are looking for a reliable, skilled maintenance worker to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge, with a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Installs equipment and appliances.
- Follows local and state building codes.
- Complies with all company safety regulations.
- Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
- Reports any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
- Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
- Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
- Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
- Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
- Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
- Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
- Repairs leaky pipes, addresses dripping faucets, unclogs drains, and seals damaged pipelines.
- Replaces faulty wiring, installs new light fixtures, and troubleshoots electrical issues.
- Services air conditioning and heating systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Repairs or replaces furniture, cabinets, doors, and other wooden structures.
- Paints and repairs drywall.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar position, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
- Successful completion of on-site apprenticeship training required.
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- General passion for creative problem-solving.
