Overview

Airgas is seeking a Field Service Technician in Santa Fe Springs, CA, to contribute to the installation and repair of cryogenic and high-pressure piping systems while supporting regional operations across Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair high pressure cylinder piping systems, cryogenic bulk tanks, and related equipment.
• Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance checks on cryogenic pressure vessels and production equipment.
• Collaborate to install and troubleshoot Telemetry.
• Contribute to installations, inspections, and repairs of cryogenic and high pressure piping systems.
• Support the service and maintenance of compressors, pumps, and other tools.
• Identify and communicate service needs to management.
• Maintain an inventory of parts for equipment maintenance.
• Submit completed service orders and invoices in a timely manner.
• Nurture excellent customer connections.
• Participate in company safety meetings and maintain general office housekeeping.
• Support team flow by participating in the on-call program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College or technical degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of diagnostic and/or repair experience in cryogenics, high pressure piping, or related fields.
• Experience in the HVAC or plumbing industry with hands-on welding/brazing skills.
• Ability to understand piping and tank details from manuals and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable standards for good manufacturing practices.
• Valid California driver's license and good DMV report.
• Strong math skills for calculations.
• Customer service oriented with professional interaction skills.
• Ability to prioritize service activities effectively.
• Initiative to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Ability to work safely under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player attitude with good organizational skills.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.

Additional Information

• Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA.
• Work schedule: Monday-Friday with morning shifts.
• Occasional scheduled overnight stays.
