Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect machines for wear and defects, replace defective parts, and make mechanical/electrical adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and perform emergency repairs.
• Update, modify, and/or change equipment as assigned by upper management.
• Maintain detailed Preventative Maintenance records.
• Follow proper procedure for replacement parts removed from inventory.
• Perform general repair around the plant as needed.
• Explain proper use and operation of maintenance equipment to workers.
• Work from blueprints and schematics and use precision measuring equipment.
• Collaborate with service technicians to install and maintain automated equipment.
• Complete work orders and enter labor time in a timely manner.
• Use proper Lock Out Tag Out and Try Out procedures.
• Perform process equipment Preventive Maintenance.
• Cut and weld using oxygen and acetylene, and operate stick and MIG welding machines.
• Train new and existing employees on maintenance equipment processes.
• Learn operational functions of equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness of work area and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial mechanic experience.
• Understanding of Arc Flash Safety and its theory.
• Mechanical and electrical repair skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents related to process operations.
• Basic tool knowledge and usage based on job classification.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a CMMS system.
