Overview

Teledyne Reynolds, a unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, is seeking a dynamic Assembler to join their team, contributing to high voltage interconnect solutions for demanding applications.

Responsibilities

• Read worksheets and wiring diagrams, select components such as integrated circuits, contacts, wires, and connectors.
• Mold cable assemblies while monitoring temperature, pressure, and visual indicators.
• Remove flash from molded cable assemblies using hand tools.
• Use hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc.
• Inspect parts and perform basic tests.
• Perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
• Perform work under a microscope, including soldering and general inspection.
• Ensure quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
• Record information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
• Provide basic training and instruction to lower-level assemblers on day-to-day assignments.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 0-2 years related experience.
• Soldering experience preferred.
• Ability to handle/use small tools and components.
• Experience working under a microscope.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Excellent math skills (algebra).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to learn and perform mechanical, electrical, and swage testing.
• Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
