Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 to assist mechanical engineers in the development and testing of mechanical and electromechanical designs. The role involves working on innovative aerospace and defense products that support national security and scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical designs.
• Draft detailed drawings for fabrication.
• Device, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
• Set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
• Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
• Minimum two years of experience performing Composite technician competencies.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Top Secret Clearance.

Additional Information

• Position located in Redondo Beach, California.
• May require 2nd shift support.
• Standard work schedule is a 9/80.
