Overview

ReIGNITE Hope is a Christian nonprofit ministry that has been transforming lives through tuition-free welding training since 2011. The organization seeks a full-time Fleet Operations and Welding Coach to combine commercial truck driving, fleet management, welding instruction, and Christian ministry in Gardena, California.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport Mobile Welding Training Centers using Class A tractor trailers.
  • Oversee the maintenance and readiness of the fleet.
  • Coach students in foundational welding skills.
  • Serve as a Christ-centered mentor to individuals seeking a new beginning.
  • Assist instructors with welding coaching when not driving.
  • Support students in developing technical and professional skills.
  • Help maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Actively participate in the ministry life of ReIGNITE Hope.

Requirements

  • Valid California Class A Commercial Driver License.
  • Minimum five years of experience operating Class A tractor trailers with an excellent driving record.
  • Experience driving both manual and automatic transmission commercial trucks.
  • Experience transporting 53 foot trailers.
  • No DUI or DWI convictions within the past seven years.
  • Graduate of an accredited CDL training program.
  • Willingness to complete ReIGNITE Hope's Welding Coach training program and earn at least one American Welding Society welding certification.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating fleet maintenance, inspections, registrations, and DOT compliance.
  • Ability to mentor and encourage students from diverse backgrounds with patience, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated Christian ministry leadership experience.
  • An active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and regular involvement in a Bible believing local church.
  • A passion for serving underserved communities and helping individuals discover hope, purpose, and meaningful careers.

Additional Information

  • This is a fully on-site position.
  • Most driving consists of local transportation throughout Southern California several times each week.
  • Occasional overnight or multi-day travel may be required to support expansion into new communities.
