Overview
The Mechanic Supervisor will oversee and supervise all aspects of the general mechanic operation and assist with HVAC supervision as needed. This role requires emergency response after hours, with the supervisor being on call 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise all aspects of the general mechanic operation.
- Assist with the supervision of HVAC as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day.
- Maintain, install, and repair HVAC, electrical, door hardware, and plumbing equipment.
- Perform general carpentry, painting, and spackling.
- Train, delegate, and supervise the workflow of Mechanics.
- Perform daily inspections and repairs.
- Coordinate manpower and resources for special events.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate staff coverage.
- Ensure HVAC records and logbooks are completed.
- Conduct daily quality control inspections.
- Handle pool chemicals safely.
- Check and respond to emails regarding work requests.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and electrical equipment.
- Isolate water leaks and repair piping and fittings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate and/or formal education from an accredited technical school; formal education preferred.
- 5 years of previous hands-on experience with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong and effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
- Demonstrable knowledge of building maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, swimming pool operation, carpentry, and drywall.
- Must be able to follow procedures and equipment installation manuals.
- Individuals must have their own smartphone to access applications and respond to emergencies.
