The Maintenance Mechanic position at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery involves troubleshooting and maintaining various production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
• Recommend improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
• Navigate a CMMS system to complete assigned work orders.
• Fill out process sheets and perform safety checks on machines.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all production equipment.
• Replace and repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Replace electrical parts and equipment.
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Examine parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Repair or replace defective parts and install special functional and structural parts.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Start machines/devices to test their performance.
• Be on call and available to work additional hours as required.
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions and needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with process equipment up to 480V required.
• Ability to read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings.
• NJ Boiler License preferred, not required.

• 1st Shift: 7 AM to 3 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM
