Overview

As a Pipefitter IV, you'll serve as a master-level trade leader and senior field expert in commercial mechanical service and installation, overseeing high-profile piping work across wet-side HVAC systems nationwide. Modigent is a national leader delivering next-generation infrastructure, technology, and energy solutions in HVAC, plumbing, and controls systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with General Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager to develop project-specific task plans and risk assessments.
  • Perform detailed field surveys and condition assessments; report findings and recommend solutions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions including scheduling and material control.
  • Oversee and direct pipefitting crews daily, delegating tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Conduct thorough jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
  • Lead hazard assessments and enforce safety protocols across the crew.
  • Train and mentor new and existing pipefitters on industry practices and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and customer concerns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial piping installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
  • Valid journeyman or master pipefitter/plumber license required.
  • Welding/brazing certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
  • Mastery-level pipefitting techniques and advanced blueprint reading skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
