Responsibilities

• Installs new mechanical equipment such as pumps, relief valves, and isolation valves.
• Sets up hydronic heating and cooling systems and their associated controls.
• Constructs and welds piping and equipment supports, brackets, and guides.
• Assembles and prepares piping that requires welded connections.
• Collaborates with other skilled trades.
• Repairs plumbing and hydronic heating systems.
• Conducts filter replacements on hydronic heating systems and control air units.
• Occasionally provides guidance to others, including training.
• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Measures, cuts, and shapes pipes using hand and power tools.
• Welds, brazes, cements, solders, and threads joints to connect pipes.
• Mounts supports, valves, and piping.
• Tests the system for leaks using specialized equipment.
• Cleans and maintains pipe components and fittings.
• Removes and replaces worn-out components.

Requirements

• Successful completion of High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Plumbing Journeyman in the commercial sector.
• Proficiency in working with steel, copper, PVC, and other plastics.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Positive attitude.
• Punctual and Dependable.
• Must pass a background check.
