Overview
The Plant Maintenance Technician at QEP Tolleson will perform tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical machine repairs, and building maintenance to improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability. This multi-craft role requires technical expertise in various functions and experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all production machinery and facility equipment by troubleshooting and completing repairs safely.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the equipment preventative maintenance program.
- Observe equipment operation and recommend operator training as needed.
- Recommend critical spare parts to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist in project completion from brainstorming to implementation.
- Complete all assigned Preventative Maintenance services on time.
- Assist and respond to restroom problems.
- Service and repair HVAC equipment; EPA 608 certification is a plus.
- Assist with eye wash system checks and service.
- Support continual improvement activities and other duties as assigned.

- Experience with 480V 3 phase troubleshooting and wiring.
- Ability to install or modify conduit and low voltage controls.
- Welding skills including MIG, TIG, Arc, and Brazing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming, IDEC PLC experience a plus.
- Familiarity with weigh scales, pneumatic bulk conveying, and case erectors.
- Knowledge of utilities, boilers, and air compressors.
- Adherence to safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of Lock out Tag out procedures.
